The Bed&Breakfast Le Gîte is located 5 minutes from downtown, at the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, certainly the most dynamic neighborhood in Montreal. At that level, Prince-Arthur street is reserved to pedestrians and is host to several restaurants and boasts a remarkable atmosphere. We are only steps away from Saint-Laurent and Saint-Denis streets, both famous for their shops, pubs and restaurants. We are also located five walking minutes from Downtown Montreal, the "Quartier Latin" and only a few more from the Old Montreal and the Palais des Congrès (French for Convention Centre).

As far as cultural environment is concerned, we are close tot he cinema Ex-centris, a true gem for lovers of repertoire cinema. Various other movie theatres are accessible by foot. The Musée d'Art Contemporain (modern arts museum), Musée des Beaux-Arts (arts museum) and several art galleries are also easily accessible. Visitors can also enjoy the Carré Saint-Louis (Saint-Louis square), one of Montréal's most beautiful green parks.
